How Nourish Social’s Creative Video Ad Helped Stop Loan Sharks Raise Awareness Among the 18-24 Age Group

Client Background:
Stop Loan Sharks is a government-run organization that works to raise awareness about the dangers of loan sharks. The organization was struggling to engage with the 18-24 age group and commissioned Nourish Social, a leading content creation company, to create a creative concept that would educate and entertain while being memorable.

Client Objectives:
Stop Loan Sharks wanted to raise awareness among the 18-24 age group about the dangers of loan sharks. They wanted a creative and memorable video ad that would educate and entertain while also being hard-hitting and impactful.

Nourish Social’s Strategy:
To meet the client’s objectives, Nourish Social looked at creative ways to tell a story to the 18-24 age group. Based on data and previous campaigns using music drama storytelling, Nourish Social went with the music drama method.

Nourish Social used data collected by Stop Loan Sharks on previous victims of loan sharks. Most had patterns of the loan shark being in their network already and posing as a friend, along with other typically seen scenarios. Nourish Social wrote a hard-hitting story of a young girl who fell on hard times after losing her job and needed money. Mc Vader put the story into lyrics and added extra parts to make it what it is.

Results:
The video ad created by Nourish Social exceeded expectations and successfully raised awareness among the 18-24 age group about the dangers of loan sharks. The ad was impactful, hard-hitting, and memorable, and it successfully educated and entertained viewers while also raising awareness about a serious issue.

As a result of the successful campaign, Stop Loan Sharks has worked with Nourish Social partners again to continue raising awareness about the dangers of loan sharks.
